101 degrees won't stop me!

I like the idea of storing the bush in my neighbors garage, which I actually owned, but I've actually signed the new deed over to him on Thursday. Glad to know it's all taken care of. My lawyer, who looked it over said it was actually my closing attorney's fault the whole thing happened in the first place. He didn't follow the correct survey when closing on my house.

Here's the truck, just being a truck, 24x7. Underneath those 10 paper bags full of leaves is a bunch of ivy (I keep on wanting to capitalize "ivy", as if it's this girl I know that I'm taking to the transfer station) and one big nasty bush - yes, the garage zit has been removed. I spent a good deal of Friday getting all this in the truck after a nice Home Depot run. But before I could take it to the transfer station, *greenpad* called and invited me to Jask Astors and Prince Caspian with him and *wifee*. Since my scavenger hunt got cancelled, I decided to join. I got the same thing for dinner as always - parmesan chicken bow tie pasta. And I was very pleased with Prince Caspian (Narnia). Then at 11:00, we decided to check out a bar we hadn't been to in ages - Hibernian. There was lots going on, and a very impressive one-man band. Got home around 1:30. It was great - reminded me the importance of always stretching the day beyond the norm.

Oh yeah - PEC - here's a close-up of the firewood stand - designed and built by the check engineer himself. Wow - that wood has lasted years.

I barely remember waking up this morning to see the clock staring back, saying 7:00. Luckily, I got back to sleep for a bit though. Once 10:30 rolled around, I took the truck to the transfer station - only about 10 minutes - stopping by Wendy's for breakfast. The triangle is a test bed for Wendy's breakfast menu. Not sure if they've expanded to other places yet or not. Then - not deterred by the insane heat of the day - I spent about three hours finishing pressure washing the driveway. C'est tres bien! Maybe I'll take that picture tomorrow.

I scarfed down a mandarin chicken salad I had bought earlier from Wendy's and got ready for boating. By 5:30 I was in the water with friends. We swam around at first - warm enough to be bath water. Then we beached the boat at a park and cooked out burgers before going back in for some knee-boarding. The time had flown by, so only a couple of us got to go. But the big news of the day - I did a 360 successfully on the knee-board. I had tried all last summer and failed. This summer - first time. I guess the gym-time is paying off.

Wow - that's more than I've posted in years. Hopefully I'll find some energy for volleyball tomorrow. Peace to all.
